We've arrived in St Fittick's Park, Aberdeen

Hey folks!

🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

We’re very excited to announce that Climate Camp crew successfully raised our camp in beautiful St. Fittick’s Park, Torry, this morning!

This is a significant site because St Fitticks Park is under near-total threat of development. Our camp forms part of a long-running community effort to defend this valuable green space - and in the face of this threat we will use our camp to envision people-powered, democratic solutions to the climate crisis.

Climate Camp '22 opens at 6pm today. Here’s where and how to join us.

The number 15 bus goes from M1, Guild St., just outside the bus and railway stations, to 'Grampian Court'. This is First Aberdeen bus service and accepts Contactless payment.

Arriving by car

Vehicle and taxi drop off can be found by the above Bus Stop, where there is also a small public car park, just off the Balnagask Circle road. Car drivers: please be considerate of local residents needs and park around the local area if you are able.

We will try to prioritise adjacent parking for people with access needs. If you haven’t been in touch with the camp prior to arrival, speak to someone at Welcome Tent about this when you join the camp.

Read the Camp Handbook

You can read the Camp Handbook now including the Workshops, Actions and Socials programme, introduction to the issue and maps at the following link.

Download the Camp Handbook

Print copies will also be available at Welcome Tent, where we will also be giving all participants FFP2 face masks, offering advice and info, and taking donations.

Find about more about St Fittick’s Park

We’ve chosen to camp in St Fittick’s Park as this park is an important community asset in the heart of one of a working class community that’s been hammered by the energy industry once before.

We want to help defend the park, and we hope our camp can do so. Find out about the campaign here:

We hope to see you very soon,
